Accounting Assistant

Summary/Objective:

To support the ongoing operations at Canvas Craft with a positive attitude.

Essential Functions:

This individual must be organized, detail oriented, and possess the ability to assist the finance team with a positive and helpful attitude. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Organizational skills and the ability to multitask to accomplish many different tasks at the same time are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • AP Processing

  • AR processing and collections

  • Enter expense receipts and credit card statement activity 

  • Generate reports from accounting systems as needed

  • Duties as assigned

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • A strong knowledge of AP/AR

  • Previous NetSuite experience preferred but not required. 

  • Thorough understanding of Excel spreadsheet management

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet company objectives.

  • Preferred associate business degree, in accounting or comparable accounting experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to details and accuracy

  • Previous employment in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
