CANVAS CRAFT’S DESIGN & ENGINEERING PROCESS

When we partner with OEMs to build fabric & metal solutions for their projects, our team of designers and engineers follow a specific, proven process. This ensures that we’re hitting deadlines, our clients are receiving the best products available, and that the partnership is built upon designing what’s best and protecting what matters.

A SIMPLE, YET SCALABLE PROCESS

1) Discovery

First, our team must understand what the product is that you’re looking to create, and why. In this stage we spend time ideating, analyzing your product needs, and exploring potential design options to best accomplish your goals.

2) Design

We then begin the design and engineering process. In this step we review project specs, research design options, expand those options into drawings & concepts, and turn them into digital patterns.

3) Development

Our team then begins its focus on setting up the appropriate systems to produce at scale. This includes tooling, sample runs, design validation, final scope, and any final design improvements.

4) Build

With a manufacturing process ready to produce at scale, our team will use the final drawings, your product’s first article, and technical details we’ve already collected, to begin production of your product.
